Historic Gore Hotel Renovations

The Gore Hotel, located on W. Pike and S. Second Streets in downtown Clarksburg,  was built in 1913 by Truman E. Gore and Howard M. Gore, Governor of West Virginia and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, respectively, and served originally as a prestige hotel in the 1920’s.

Recently, Clarksburg Uptown, a local organization which promotes the economic and social growth in both uptown Clarksburg and Glen Elk by supporting the city’s diverse and rich cultural history shared the vision of beautification and revitalization of the Gore Hotel with Diamond Development.  WYK Associates, Inc. is proud to be assisting the historic Gore Hotel with designs for some of their new apartments.
